Schrade 707UH Gambler

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Schrade 707UH Gambler

Post by bama »

I picked this one up a few weeks ago with the intent of throwing it in my first aid kit. The guy I bought it from nearly flipped when I told him my intended use and kept saying it's very rare. So take a look at the pics. The backspring is clearer than it shows in the pics. Should I use this one or should I move it along and keep looking for another user?

I'm not a collector by any means, I buy knives that I intend to use.

Collectible but not that rare. I have used one for years to trim mustache, eyebrows, and ear hairs. A new one in the box will easily get $50.00 on Ebay. They did not make them for too many years.

Thanks guys. That's what I needed. It's going into my FAK. Hopefully I won't need it much :D
