Friday night....8 o'clock and we're talkin' knives.
Funny how age changes things isn't it? Look at us......home on our computers.....
Back in the old days, youd'a never seen me in the house on a Friday night at 8 o'clock.
How bout you?

Yep, the house is all quiet, I'm here alone, just as it should be. Wife's out on an antique "Thelma and Loiuse" journey with her sister. I was gonna go but someone has to make some money round here! I gotta admit, it's awesome!

Re: Friday night....8 o'clock and we're talkin' knives.
I can remember a time(was it THAT long ago?)that a Friday night meant going out with your favorite girl(if you weren't married)or taking the missus out to dinner without the kids.
Then later on it meant watching TV(usually a black & white set with the trusty rabbit ears)with the family sharing some popcorn and shushing the kids when the program came back on after only one commercial.
Fast forward to today's world. The kids(if they are home at all)are glued to their own computer or deaf to their surrounding area due to ear buds listening to...(no;I ain't goin' there). There are 300 channels of infomercials;no-talents losers screaming obscenities at one another or attempting to destroy your eardrums with what they jokingly refer to as singing or stumbling around a dance floor with a partner with at least 3 feet;two of which are left and dressed in outfits that threaten "wardrobe malfunction" with every breath.Or ones that purport to be "news" stations which are nothing more than mouthpieces for their particular political ideology and are about as fair and impartial as the proverbial one legged man in an A** kickin' contest.
Is it any wonder that we are sitting here at our computers talking and thinking about knives? RANT OVER!!!

I'm sorry, what did you say? I was reading and fell asleep in my chair. Something about Friday nights not being what they used to be?

Sounds like you were much more productive than me last night John. Although I work butt off this past week.
