Why I like Schrade LB7
I like all kinds of lockbacks. I even collect BUCK and have a couple of those but what I really like about the LB7 is how smooth it is. Mainly, the rivets are flush with the handle unlike Buck. Also, there is a steel lock spring pin on this knife which makes it superior in strength and the only Schrade large lockback that I know of that uses a steel pin. The others all use brass pins. It just feels good in hand and although I have an LB8 (my first Schrade) I don't want to use it because they are much more scarce than the LB7. Another favourite is the 9OT which is scarce and replaced by the 157OT by Taylor. The LB8 has yet to be reproduced.

I like' em because there workhorses tough like a Buck and you can grip them with workgloves on
