Willie, You are right on the Money! If Obama gets a second term, he will no longer need to worry about getting votes and he will be Free to go to town on the 2nd Amendment and many of the other things that we all Hold Dear!

Some folks say that he doesn't have a chance at re-election, but I just don't think that's so, unless he's pissed off a lot of the negros that voted for him the first time. And I still say that in his second term he will manipulate the Congress to repeal the 22nd Amendment so that he can run again, and again, and again. That's his style folks

Statute 256.05, which covers improper use of state or United States flag, or other symbol of authority, reads: "No person shall, in any manner, for exhibition or display:

"(1) Place or cause to be placed any word, figure, mark, picture, design, drawing or advertisement of any nature upon any flag, standard, color, ensign or shield of the United States or of this state, or authorized by any law of the United States or this state; or

"(2) Expose to public view any such flag, standard, color, ensign or shield upon which shall have been printed, painted or otherwise produced, or to which shall have been attached, appended, affixed or annexed any such word, figure, mark, picture, design, drawing or advertisement."

Meanwhile, Jay Agg, communications director for AMVETS, told FoxNews.com that the American flag should never be altered.

"While we are pleased the flag in question has since been removed from public display, the reported fact that it had flown for months without protest is a clear indication that we have much work to do in educating the public of the importance of protecting our flag," Agg wrote in an email. "This issue is especially important to AMVETS' members, the men and women who have proudly worn our nation's uniform and served under her flag."

The final insult to veterans? The flag is made in China.

Bull! It is about the flag! As Dimitri posted, it violates the United States Flag Code (it's a code of conduct regarding our flag and not a law). Notice the liberals are not pushing for and have never pushed for the flag code to be morphed into a law. At least we can still show respect for our flag without that respect being legislated.

She's right about one thing. There are certain elements of the American people which cannot accept B.O. as President and it's not for the reason she is insinuating.

You assume too much. No! I don't wear the flag as a shirt, nor a bandanna, nor do I leave it up in the rain or unlighted at night.

I do however freely admit I can't stand Obama.

There's a lot of talk on this thread about the U. S. Flag Code. As has been said, it's not law, but a suggested code to promote respect for our Country's flag.

Well, I've got news, boys & girls, the U. S. Flag Code means nothing, not to patriotic organizations, not to the military, not to anyone, (with the exception of perhaps just a few of us here on this forum.)

I will not get into the specific part or number of the code, but it in fact, does state:

"The flag shall never be carried horizontally, or parallel to the ground, but always aloft and free." (My wording here may not be exact, but you get the picture.)

At every major public display, sporting event, parade, Super Bowl, etc. etc. ad infinitum..
we see our flag displayed in this manner. Often with different branches of our military carrying it. This has been a sore point with me for several years, much longer than I would care to remember. I have written every major sports organization, professional team, sports commisioner, and every department of the armed forces of this country at various times, to try to remedy this situation. I've written Congressmen, Senators, Chiefs of Staffs, Secretaries of the various armed services, everyone you could possibly think of, and to a man, nobody gives a damn! Except for the commissioner of baseball, - he was the only one who returned any response, and he was not very happy with me and claimed the 'integrity and patriotism of the baseball community are above question."

The only place the flag should be parallel or horizontal to the ground is when it is covering the casket of a deserving patriot. How do your local community organizations display the flag?
