H&R Courthouse Whittler 1 of 600 243DS For Trade *TRADED*

Post by Cutty »

Here's the deal. This is a recent yard sale find. It has a bit of blade wobble in the two smaller blades and a small ammount of tarnish on the bolsters but no major scuffs just typical handling. The bone/stag scales are perfect. The etch is near perfect as are the blades, unused amd unsharpened. Not sure why it has blade wobble or how to remedy the problem, there are no signs of use or damage at all. All three blades have great snap and half stops, on the two smaller blades. It came in the box only no papers etc. It was definately not a safe queen but it is in good condition other than the blade wobble. The knife measures a tad over 4 inches closed, about "4 1/8.

I am looking for an American made slip joint, in good condition, for my EDC rotation. No mini's. Something in a standard size "3 1/2 plus. I plan to hold out for a trade but if nothing comes along in a reasonable ammount of time cash offers will be considered.
I dig half stops!!

Cutty - Is this what it looks like? What are you valuing it at for a trade and what are you looking for in an EDC? Two blades? Three blades? Whittler? Canoe? Stockman? Trapper? You must have something pictured in your mind.

Yes that's the same knife Jerry.
In less than perfect condition I really have no idea what the value is, that's the reason it's not on ebay right now. I would rather trade it to some one who has a full understanding of it's condition and the means to possibly right the problem and turn it for their own profit or what ever.

You really don't want to see the pictures in my mind ::dang:: ::dang:: LOL.

I am thinking a stockman or whittler. I am partial to three blades. Stag, Bone or even simulated bone delrin in a quality knife. Obviously in the best condition that someone is willing to part with to make a trade. Camillus, Case, Schrade...........

If I am stretching the trade value feel free to right the ship for me.

SORRY GUY'S I HAD PICTURES WITH THE ORIGINAL POST. THEY WERE THERE EARLIER NOW THERE NOT. I AM UNABLE TO POST THEM NOW. NO OPTION TO DO SO??? IF THE OPTION BECOMES AVAILABLE LATER I WILL POST THEM AGAIN.

Pics of the same knife were up on another thread several days ago.......now there gone as well?

I understand now why Jerry posted a pic to see what exactly I was trying to trade.

The knife is still available for trade. I am valuing the knife in question at $40-$50 ::tu::

THX.

Yes, I stole that picture off eBay and linked it in off my little web site because the picture feature on AAPK isn't/wasn't working.
