Knife Repair and Restoration
I use different grid wet or dry paper the same as for car body repairs. The last paper I use is a 2000 grit which I use in a cordless drill ( or any drill as long as it does not over heat the blade ).I have a backing pad which has foam rubber on it which will take hook an loop paper.(you can purchase the pad from a wood turning supplier)The disc which fit on the pad is made by Siawat ( 1 1/2"or 37mm inch dia ) which you should be able to purchase from a car paint supplier.

Do you use this for polishing blades? Fixed blades or folders too? And could we get a look at your set-up?
Thanks.
Thanks.
