I had a real good day in the knife finding business, bought a Belknap, a Hammer, and an Imperial. The Belknap is a 3-1/2" stag handled teardrop jack with a half stop main spear blade and a full stop pen blade. The Hammer is a 3-3/4" celluloid shell handled, Equal end jack with a cap-lifter secondary blade; the shell colors are very hard for me (and the camera) to focus on, but look like the Woodland camo pattern after being digitized - Imperial was 60 years ahead of the Army on adopting a good digital camo pattern! The Imperial is a 3-3/8" Easy Open jack in the Navy - Coast Guard WW-2 style (has the same type of plastic handles that I have seen on BSA knives by Imperial from the late 1940's). Not a bad day at all.

Received this one today, along with a little cigar cutter / utility knife I posted in another thread, belonged to my mother's grandfather, cleaned it up a little, gave it a shot of oil and the blade jumps out nice and lively! Glad to be able to give it a good home...

Thanks for the comments guys, it is a cool little knife indeed. Charlie, that tree is alive and vertical. There is a little piece of bark that sticks out and makes a perfect shelf for propping up a knife, I've photographed a bunch of them on that same little piece of bark over the last couple of months.

Found these at the local pawn today. I think the CASE is a 10 Dot Texas Jack. Both blades are done but the snap is good and the bone is excellent. It should be a good one to replace blades on. The second is German I think. I really do not know a lot about it. It is 4 inches closed, has 3 blades, looks like Roslers Va....l..er and something ria. I am thinking Austria. I'm thinking a clean up and patch on one of the handles that is chipped. File the blades to correct some problems and polish her up.

Any help on the ID or what you would do to restore or prepare for Thurs. night, would be welcome.

Need help with this big knife. I just got this in a collection and need to sell some to pay for the Cattaraugus that I want to keep. Knife is 5 3/8 inches closed with some of the narliest handles I have seen. Blade is 4 3/8 inches. Blade looks original with tight snap open closed and half stops. The tang stamp looks to be HIBBARD SPENCER BARTLETT & Co. with no numbers on the back. Who made this knife for H.S.B. & Co. Thanks for any help.
