Well, they may be. I tried to stick one with a straight pin and couldn't penetrate the surface at all. I'll make a note on the listing. Thanks.

Yes , "6" can designate bone , wood , or delrin .

WB - According to the AAPK Case Library of information the (6) indicated bone, Delrin and 'laminated' wood.

I'm going to get a lot of back lash on this but I'm going to go ahead and say the handles are Delrin. They're not laminated wood and bone doesn't wear like that. There are scratches and pits that are typical of Delrin.

The handles are definitely wood . That is the only material Case used on their folding hunters during that era . The "6" designation holds true for all three materials mentioned , however , they only started using delrin in the late 1960's .
