Camillus Sword Brand - Mahogany Worm Groove

Post by Toejammer »

This started out as a four line Camillus "Streamline" w/ bad handles. But once I broke it open, I realized the liners were toast, major gassing had both liners cracked at center pin. So I snagged another one off the bay, w/ a crappy blade, but good frame..... I thought. Same thing, liners were toast.

But I love these blades, and wasn't ready to give up just yet. I realized the #20 Camillus muskrat pattern was the right size frame. So I adapted a muskrat frame with bad blades to seat the clip blade. Found some Mahogany Wormgroove on Culpepper (discount bin) and decided to give it a whirl.

I actually feel like I'm getting better at this. This one came out pretty nice, good snap, scales fit right, polished out well. Finally !! ::ds::

Good job and those old treadle sewing machine drawers make an excellent back drop to show it off. I can see why you fell in love with that blade.
