I used to have yale jack knife. I think the stamp on the main blade was a flag? And i thought it was made in new york.
But i have one book that lists a yale cutlery co. Meridian ct. 1883-1900s and another that lists a yale brand cut co 1894-1919

Greetings tony, I do not have much info to provide, but here is what I found in Goins' encyclopedia. Yale our best brand within a triangle dates to 1930-1950. I am not sure who was manufacturing these. The Yale Cutlery Company (1894-1919) from Meriden Connecticut is a different affair.

Here is a Yale Cut. Co. I posted a while back which Dimitri helped with the handle material which are celluloid. It was a great quality knife, just heavilly used. It was Meridian, Conn.

Here's a YALE CUTLERY CO punch blade stockman in jigged bone. It has been repaired where a very small crack goes through the mark side scale. The tip has been broken a bit on the main blade, but all blades have nice snap.

Dead thread revival!
Just got this guy in a lot and thought I might see "Yale" so gave it a whirl and here we are! Thanks for the info guys! 1930-1950. Used to be a 2 blade jack, once upon a time. Now it's down to one blade, but still in user shape. Ad is faded but reads
"Greetings from Niagara Falls N.Y."
Glad I found it with just enough stamp left to solve the mystery.
