Had a two and a half hour drive home today, was at about the halfway point when I decided to stop into a little country antique and collectibles store I have been driving by for years - to my surprise he had some decent knives mixed in with all the junk knives. I bought a pre-86 (Camillus) Buck 303 and two Case penknives (one a three blade Delrin handled pen and the other a two bladed Appaloosa bone handled pen). He has some more nice stuff; I will stop in again when I'm in the area. The Buck 303 will be my EDC tomorrow morning.

FINALLY a few pics of last Sundays finds....

Coyote Lockback Twins:

G. Schrades Stainless Steel Hunting & Fishing Knife

Close Up of the Scale and info:

As I have mentioned the Coyote Knives both have some play around the pivot ie: push down on the locked blade and there is some play. No blade wiggle to speak of.

The G. Schrade has a half stop. Whatever the button/slide gadget on the backside of the handle used to do it doesn't do any longer. No matter how it is manipulated it has no effect on the blade movement.

The slide button is a lock to keep the blade from closing.
I have not seen one that works well, but I have not ever seen one in like new condition.

Will wonders never cease. I once considered myself fairly technically astute but as I get older and more contrary, technology seems to be leaving me in the dust. Part of me is okay with that.
