Re: First Cup Diner!
Good morning all. I'm looking forward to a nice three day weekend with not much of anything scheduled other than church activities on Sunday.
My church is restarting a ministry where we take a wheelchair lift equiped bus to the local nursing home to transport some of the nursing home residents to and from our church. This Sunday will be the start of it. I led a training session last night for those who've signed up to help. I'm really looking forward to getting that up and running.
Have a great day folks.

Thanks, Scott! My wife does all my 'rug beating' since I ran outta hair. I just get a buzz and there is no reason to go to a barber shop for that.

WOW, talk about not having a clue......
I had to reread what you wrote a number of times just to grasp that you were talkning about a haircut.....or at least that's what I thought you were talking about.
How'd ya'll like Clint last night.

Re: First Cup Diner!
Scott,
I got that expression from my Dad. He always referred to a haircut as getting 'your rug beat'. Didn't mean to create confusion, I guess I just assumed everyone was familar with the term.

I'm very late getting here, but have been up since early - coffee long gone. Have my oldest daughter and her exchange student in for the Labor Day weekend - had my parents over for a big family breakfast - now we are all heading to Atlantic Beach for the weekend. Hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend!

Re: First Cup Diner!
Good morning everyone. Sit a spell and have a cup or maybe even two or three.

I got to wondering this morning. Does everyone now use some sort of drip coffee maker? Keurig or Bunn type?
Remember before drip coffee makers when percolators were the only choice in an electric coffee pot? Anyone still regularly use a percolator?
Or better yet, does anyone still use the old 'sit it on the stove' type percolator on a daily basis? (when not camping)
Just the meandering of an active mind.

Good morning Jerry and whomever else arrives later.
I use the drip coffee maker myself except during power outages or on camping trips then it's back to the old school non electric percolator for me.

Hi y'all. Long time lurker, first time poster here.
Just starting on my second cup. Yum-Yum. We use a Bunn coffee maker. Can have ten cups ready in three minutes. Too impatient to wait for the other coffee makers.
