Schrade Walden NY

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Schrade Walden NY

Found this little congress, bone, rat tail bolsters unused. You probably can't tell
it is unused, picture is so poor. It has a pretty good size spider web on master I
would like to get some of it off. The mark side is crocus finished I would like to
save that finish. Any suggestions? Knife is 3" long.

Nice knife with pretty peachseed Harold. Is the knife marked on both blades SCHRADE WALDEN NY? If so, there is probably no pattern stamp. That is a 774 pattern. I'll leave the spider treatment to others, but if it were my decision, I'd leave it alone. It's a very tradeable knife I'd think... 8)
