Re: First Cup Diner!
I drove over to Vermont one time when I was in Nashua, NH of business. Lotta trees in the south east section of the state. I would like to go back sometime and see more of the state. New Hampshire and Maine too.
Good morning everyone. Another beautiful day in The Great Midwest. Nothing going on here other than fondling my knives.

Re: First Cup Diner!
Good morning all. Welcome to another week of knives and some mundane stuff. It's supposed to cool off here tomorrow after some rain today. Keeps this up and I'm going to need to mow the lawn again.
Wishing each and every one of you a safe and happy week.

Morning Jerry! I'm sitting here being good (defined as no coffee, no food) - got my semi-annual checkup this morning with the Doc. I'll get some coffee on my way home - have a good one gents.

Mornin' Ya'll
Made it through yet another weekend
After last night, I firmly believe I work for idiots!
Two days off now and it's supposed to rain both days......figures.
Hmmm, maybe I can get in some much-needed couch time

Hello Scott (and anyone else who is up) - sipping coffee over here boss!
Today marks one year for me here on AAPK (I read on AAPK for about a year before I became a member) - thanks to all you guys for making this the best "electronic community" on the internet. Interestingly enough this is also the anniversary of my departed Grandmother's birthday (she would have been 98), she's the Grandma who gifted me with the Buck 301 pocketknife (shown in my signature below) for my 15th birthday. Last year it escaped my attention that I joined AAPK on her birthday - how appropriate is that!

Good morning Mr. Scott. The rain has passed on through and it's not supposed to get over 64* here today. Looks like it will be a good day to mow the lawn.
What's on Mr. Scott's agenda for today?
I see the Colonel was typing while I was typing. Good Morning Colonel. Happy AAPK anniversary.

Good morning folks.
O.H. congratulations on surviving a year here. I hope you will enjoy many more.
Still raining here. It's been a good soaking rain with very little runoff. Just what we needed.

Good morning, Gentlemen. Our 1st cup will be later this morning, as Momma has a stress test scheduled at 9:20 am. So I'll "suffer" with her until it's completed. We've had 3.1 inches of rain since noon yesterday. The woods are wet and the peanut harvest will be shut down for a little while. The rain is welcome but some of our neighbors need to be in the fields. Treefarmer

Mornin' Ya'll
A brief pause in the rain. No sun likely today. Headed for the low 50's tonight (brr).
Always sad to lose loved ones. Better when you have treasured mementos. I have my maternal grandmother's foot-pedal operated Singer sewing machine. My wife recently found where we can get a replacement leather belt for it
From my fraternal grandmother I have her well worn Bible.
Maybe I need to actually use that treasure......
Great day to all!

When I was at Ft. Rucker for AIT (67N20, single rotor, turbine utility helicopter repairman) there was a huge monument in Enterprise, AL to the Boll Weavel for having destroyed the cotton crop, which led to the planting of peanuts.treefarmer wrote:Good morning, Gentlemen. Re: First Cup Diner!
I'm drinking the good stuff for the next couple of weeks.
I was down in Costa Rica last week on a business trip, and we were able to take a tour of the Doka Coffee plantation, the Poas Volcano, and the rainforest at La Paz waterfall. Very cool stuff. I came home with 6 or 7 bags of coffee.
Here's a shot of some big lug (yours truely) standing in front of some coffee plants. The beans are green right now, and turn red when ripe.
