New Collector Ready To Learn
Hello All
I am a 42 year old corporate guy living in Philadelphia, and am brand new to collecting knives. Happily married with a wonderful 11 year old daughter and served 8 years in the Marine Corps. I have just purchased a nice Case knife and a Hen and Rooster Congress knife. While researching the background of each company I found there is a wealth of information regarding pocket knives and the companies that provide them. The collecting bug has bit me, but I know that I know nothing and I am hoping to learn from experienced collectors in this forum.
I look forward to learning more about knife collecting and the history surrounding the development of the various types of knives.
I wish all of you the best and hope this is the beginning of a great hobby for me.

Welcome aboard Marine. Grab a rack, stow your gear and report for duty.
Edit: Hey, wait just a minute. Is that your MOS in your user name?

Welcome Dalton. There are lots of fellows around here who have amazing knowledge of knives. I'm not one of them, but stick around and you will quickly identify them.

Dalton, welcome to AAPK; a very friendly place just oozing with knife knowledge - you found the right landing zone!
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark
