Cocobolo is some of the prettiest wood out there. I know of some that are highly allergic to to it but it is easy to work. Beautiful on those grips.

I ordered her back in June. It took over 14 weeks to come in when it was supposed to be here in 8 weeks. If one goes back online today still can't find one??? Anyway, I almost asked for my deposit returned last week and glad I didn't it is a fine piece and should be spot on accurate with a 6 7/8" barrel. And an added bonus, as a .22 LR will be inexpensive to shoot too. I'm taking her out in the am for a test run in the am::tounge:: Oh Yeah!!!! Awesome quality " MADE IN USA " Bonehead

I have had a few of those Ruger Target Pistols.....they are spot on accurate.
Never had one that pretty tho. ...Beautiful piece.

Well Folks,

Had a a great time today. Went out with 3 folks from work and had some fun. 125 rounds through the Ruger without any failures. At 35 yards with a rest, groups of 1.5" pretty typical. Next time will try without a rest should still be around 3" group. Putting a scope on this is almost criminal, would take all the fun out of it.

Bonehead I used to have an earlier version of that gun (sans cocobolo grips). I sold it to a buddy of mine in a moment of mental misfire and have regretted doing so ever since. You've got yourself a keeper there. Those grips make a great gun a thing of beauty.

I do understand.... I have one other pistol, a very nice Sig Sauer 40 cal. Tac Ops for home defense, P226. I brought that one along today as well and did well with it too. However, at about half the price I love the Ruger, the accuracy can be equivalent in scale since the Sig is a fine piece in itself and a larger caliber. However, I love the Old Ruger styled guns with some modern make up. Moreover, Although the Sig is a top of the line gun in itself, To me the better build,feel,Cosmetic, has me really likin the Ruger a lot.
Yes not the same gun for sure, one for fun, one for defense... And both pieces at the higher end of their counterparts of their equivalents.

If I could only have (1) Gun it would be this Ruger, would not even have to think about it. I'm just glad I can't afford to collect guns like knives, there is some nice ones out there...
