Hey photonauts,
The light on my end table caught my eye this morning,
So I thought I see how it came out in a pic.

Re: Knife Photography
Especially in the top photo you caught some great light. I like how the light reflects off the unsnapped sheath; makes the leather look "rich."So I thought I see how it came out in a pic.
The shading on the switch blade makes it look, to me, both elegant and deadly. Nice work.

Mike,
You have a good eye for lighting and seized the moment, those pics are great!

Re: Knife Photography
Big Monk, you surely have some beautiful knives and great photos of them. Our autumn leaves are a distant memory around here, those that didn't get raked up have blown into Nebraska by now.
Another forum had a good idea for some photos. They suggested posing your club knife with objects or location of local interest to show where the knife ended up. Well, my AAPK knife is in Casper, Wyo. The snapshot to the left is Yellowstone River, the one on the right is Devil's Tower. The sculpture is Prometheus, in front of the county library although the pic is showing a church across the street. The 'license plate' is a postcard showing the plates available for a small donation to the University of Wyoming. The last pic is the cows coming in to the watering hole on a friends ranch. Also included are yucca seed pods and a piece of bone (probably antelope) from the prairie near town, and a life-size brass horned toad. This was a fun photo to put together. I should probably also post it to the club knife site.

Re: Knife Photography
Very nice picture Rustle. The props don't overpower the knife and yet the knife doesn't drastically blend into the props. Just the right balance. You have an artistic soul.

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks Tim,
I always like to see abalone knife pictures, the colors are amazing, and no 2 ever look the same. Even the same knife in 2 pictures doesn't always look the same.
