Re: And Then There Was Some Of My Favorite Rock
Chief RID got me off on a tangent this morning and I ended up listening to House of the Rising Sun by the Animals at 0500. Strange to see a rock group all dressed up.
This is truly one of my top ten favorite rock songs. Thanks Chief.

Way cool. Thanks Tom. I had no idea the song went back beyond The Animals version. I guess I'm just a music surface skimmer.

My pleasure Jerry.. one of my all time favorite tunes also.. I remember the day I bought the 45 at a local record store.. The Kinks were another band that I still enjoy.

WOW that was somethin' Jethro. I've heard of this song for years but I think this is the first time I've listened to it. Thanks for posting.

No problem TJ, that was quite the collaboration of artists on the stage at once from a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction of George Harrison .tjmurphy wrote:WOW that was somethin' Jethro. I've heard of this song for years but I think this is the first time I've listened to it. Thanks for posting.

Okay. I thought that face looked familiar but I thought it was Ray, the guy that used to be the CEO of the local YMCA.
