That Kutmaster is one great looking knife Trip.I am a bid fan of the LB7's also and yours looks to be mint.Great bunch.

Scott, those old Kutmasters are some of my favorites. They sure had great metal in them. Great find, and a great pic.

Hi! I'm new here and from the Uk but I recently managed to secure a mini collection of knives at my local auction house for around £20 or $32.
If anyone can ID them I would really appreciate it. I will include what info I have on them:

1.

This is a cheap large knife. 4inches closed with a 3.5inch main blade. Looks modern.

2.

This is a small Ivorine Fruit (?) knife. Looks like there are some burn marks on the handle, possibly from a match. Again, not a great example. 3.75 inches closed, 2.5inch blade.

3.

Again! Another cheap example. Faux (very faux!) cow horn scales. 3.5inches closed with 2.25inch main blade. Reads RICHARDS. SHEFFIELD. MADE IN ENGLAND on the small blade.

4.

This one might of some interest to you all. It is a nice knife. 3.5 inches closed with 2.5 inch main blade. You might not be able to see it but it looks like real or bone scales (how do you even tell if they are real!?) and has a stamp which reads: MADE IN USA on the main blade.

5.

I also really like this one. 3.5 inches closed with single 2.25 inch main blade. The blade looks like it has been reground, which is a shame as it now doesn't slot right into the handle. Can this be adjusted at all? Still, looks like it might have real antler scales and reads: VENTURE HM SLATE SHEFFIELD on the blade.

6.

Getting better! This looks like a 1939 army issue British jack knife although I can't confirm the maker as yet. It's in great condition and has a strong snap back. The springs are great... The date is stamped in the main blade and the can opener has what looks like: JNO B LTD SHEFFIELD stamped on it. It has a copper lanyard loop.

7.

This one looks like it might be a civilian copy of an army issue knife. It reads: H.M.SLATER SHEFFIELD CC1286 {UPWARD ARROW} 1952 and the usual: OIL THE JOINTS on the scales.

8.

Last and probably least. An unmarked, unstamped army lookalike. Not sure of the date or maker of this one.

Anyway. I would love to hear what you think. Also, is it a good idea to try to clean these up a bit? Some have considerable rusting on the blades.

Welcome to AAPK. Not trying to run you off but may I suggest you also post your knives over on the British Blades forum. More bang for your buck that way.

#4 on your list, the Made In USA stamp, was made by Camillus for Sears & Roebuck. Probably from 1924-1941. I think that's the Cattle pattern and it has very nice pocket worn genuine bone (cattle bone) handles.

As for the rest, I'm sorry, I don't know anything about British knives.

I agree with Jerry on the Camillus knife....but it’s a 3 blade scout/utility pattern.

....Cattle knives don't have a bail or cap lifter...atleast none that I'm aware of.

#6 appears to be a WWII Navy knife as you mentioned....the last one as well.

I like #7 "civilian model"...cool knife.
