RARE CASE XX 6394-1/2LP Green Bone-EDITED

Post by zp4ja »

Hello All,

Up for possible aquisition for someone's collection is this RARE CASE XX 6394-1/2LP Green Bone. This is not a "maybe it is green bone XX CASE knife" as you can see by the pictures. This rare knife has light olive green scales that match on both the pile and mark side. Rear of mainblade has model # "6394-1/2" stamp.

As many of you may know, CASE XX "true" green bone knives are RARE! On top of that, this knife pattern was only made in 1949' to early 1950s'. In the 49' and 50' price list but not in the next available 55' price list according to Steve's book.

It has seen some pocket time and use. Professionally cleaned and reprofiled alittle to eliminate some blade loss. But, Very rare!!!. Never seen another available for sale. Never seen a XX green bone with this color either. The pictures give a pretty good representation of the color of the scales but knife in hand the color is jawdropping! I call them like I see them and do not embellish any descriptions just to sell something. That is how I see it.

Don't need to sell this beauty but feel free to make an REASONABLE offer via PM, if you like. Please, only reasonable offers!!! If there is not 3 zeros to the left of the decimal point and the possibly also the first number to the far left is not greater than "1", lets not waste each other's time. EDIT: To clarify, that means no offers below 1000 plus dollars or more will be considered. Probably won't take less than 2000 dollars, maybe more, in all honesty but feel free to make a reasonable offer if you like. And no, I am not drunk, high or on crack! Not trying to sound like an ahole but this is where I am at on this knife at this time.

BTW, I posted several times on this knife as far as input from members on value based on condition and rarity, etc, with no response so I have to start somewhere based on that since I have not seen one sell to compare.

Regards, Jerry

That man is a success who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who leaves the world better than he found it; who never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who looked for the best in other's and gave the best he had.
