Re: Knife Photography
I thought I would see if the bright red in the holly berries, and the more subtle rusty red tin, could work to showcase the red bone handle in my newly acquired Case jack. I tried several shots with more berries or less berries - I think this shot captured the color of the mark side handle the most realistically. I think the rusty background has more to do with it than the bright red berries. OH
Deep in the guts of most men is buried the involuntary response to the hunter's horn, a prickle of the nape hairs, an acceleration of the pulse, an atavistic memory of his fathers, who killed first with stone, and then with club...Robert Ruark

Just got this one in today, Camillus #10 Barlow from around 1950 with Honey Brown bone handles....liking it so much I decided to brave the 3 degree temps outside for a late afternoon shot on the deck!

Re: Knife Photography
Tim -- And that's that little cheap arse light box kit that comes complete with background cloths and lights? That's a nice picture dude. I found 'em for $32 with free shipping and I keep buying knives instead. I need to get it in gear here.
Edit: That's a fine, fine 72. As I said in another thread, you're lucky to get it.

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks Jerry and that's the box.
I have found the lights that come with it are not bright enough.
I use a commercial work light above the box and the small lights in front sometimes.
I try to keep my ISO under 200 for clarity. Thank again
