For Those Of Us Old Enough To Still Appreciate Swing

Post by RobesonsRme.com »

OK, i's a movie clip, the girls did their own playing and did not play the instruments before. Started lessons 3 months before filming began and after a month started a camp where they worked together. The girls did their own playing. The only "dubbing" was by the girls dubbing themselves - which even professionals do in movies. The director did this because he felt the feeling of the girls' success would carry to the audience.

I played several of them - what great music by such young children- thanks for the link. I also followed the link for more and ended up with a series of swing numbers played by the Glenn Miller orchestra - had a GM evening listenting to swing - thanks to Charlie!
