We Stand United on this issue.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOONE COUNTY FISCAL COURT

A RESOLUTION RELATING TO THE BOONE COUNTY FISCAL COURT EXPRESSING SUPPORT OF THE POSITION OF THE BOONE COUNTY SHERIFF, MICHAEL A. HELMIG, CONCERNING THE SECOND AMENDMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AND ADOPTING THAT POSITION AS ITS OWN.

WHEREAS, numerous citizens of the County of Boone, Kentucky, have expressed their concern to members of the Boone County Fiscal Court about their rights under the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States; and

WHEREAS, many of those citizens have inquired as to the position of the Boone County Fiscal Court concerning the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States; and

WHEREAS, Boone County Sheriff, Michael A. Helmig, in a statement released January 16, 2013, stated as follows:

I do not believe the Federal Government or any
individual in the Federal Government has the right
to dictate to the states, counties or municipalities
any mandate, regulation or administrative rule that
violates the United States Constitution or its various
amendments. I view any such mandate, regulation or administrative rule illegal and refuse to carry it out.

WHEREAS, the Judge/Executive and each Commissioner of the Boone County Fiscal Court took an oath upon taking office to uphold the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Kentucky; and

WHEREAS, the Boone County Fiscal Court wishes to support the position of Boone County Sheriff, Michael A. Helmig, concerning the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States and further, wishes to adopt his position as its own.


NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE FISCAL COURT OF THE COUNTY OF BOONE, COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY:

That it is the position of the Boone County Fiscal Court that neither the Federal Government nor any individual in the Federal Government has the right to dictate to any of the various states, counties or municipalities in the United States, any mandate, regulation or administrative rule that violates the Constitution of the United States or its various amendments. Any such mandate, regulation or administrative rule will be viewed as illegal and the Boone County Fiscal Court will not carry it out.

That this Resolution is hereby approved and adopted in Open Session of the Boone County Fiscal Court this 5th day of February, 2013.

There's something that should go viral and spread throughout the United States. He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named needs to be shown that the citizens of this country are not a bunch of spineless twits who can be manipulated at his will.

Some may bow to him and praise Allah but the majority of the citizens of this country are still Red, White and Blue.
