We got hammered last night.

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

We got hammered last night.

Post by Forensic Jim »

Woke up this morning to about 12-15" of snow. Looks like people on the northeast coast are in for an absolute nightmare of a storm. I'm really glad we didn't lose power due to strong winds and heavy snow fall.

Dog does not look happy.... Hope everyone made it through that okay...

Yeah, we're going to get a little snow.. 12"-24" or more.

Hope Ole Betsy (snowblower) is ready for a workout on my 300' long driveway. The good news is that the snow will keep me from going into work at the office on Saturday... ::ds::

Glad I'm not where you are Jim;we only got a couple inches here.Had to go to Dundee this morning to stripe a car at Spirit Ford and M-50 was like a skating rink.Freezing rain overnight and serious crosswinds over the road causing even more slippery spots.
Talked to my youngest son last night(his birthday is today)and he was getting rady for the storm. He lives about 35 miles north of Boston MA.They're expecting 2-3 feet! Reminded him of the horrendous storm we had just before his 3rd birthday when we got nearly 4 feet of snow and drifts nearly up to our second floor apartment window.Didn't go to work for a week(couldn't get there). We lived just north of Boston at the time right near the ocean.Glad I'm not there now.Hang in there buddy.

It's not uncommon up here to see people scrapping snow off their roofs with a snow rake which most hardware stores or Walmart carries. Or, they get up on their roofs and have to shovel it off.

Yup;just up the road apiece. He works for McDevitt Mack in Tewksbury. I used to attend the Ty-Rods Old Timers Reunion when they held it at the Elks Club in Hudson. My 1955 Pontiac Safari wagon made the trip out there every year for about 10 years. Here's a pic of it taken there around 2004

There's two cars in there somewhere.
I don't think I've seen this much snow in the east since I've been here.

That's really bad! The northeast is hurting right now especially with the power outages.

Ah...the memories.

As a former resident of N.E. Ohio all I can say is.....MOVE!
In all honesty it did pour here last night for a couple minutes. Just hit 65 degrees so I'm gonna have to clean the Camaro.
My retirement shall consist of carbon steel, cheese, and crackers.

Several hours of clean up, then over to my parents to help them, then back to the house to shovel off the porch roof. Some chinese take out, then crashed out on the couch with the wife. I was one tired puppy...
