The P7 looks small yet has a 4 inch barrel. Makes a super concealed carry piece but was also used by a few agencies. I believe the NJ State police used them and the Park Service as well. But from the first they were expensive because of their sophisticated technology. Yet they are absolutely reliable with incredible ergonomics. The first time I fired it I wound up laughing out loud. I couldn't believe what was happening because I was shooting as I had never shot before. I am not, repeat not, a good pistol shot, yet beautiful little clover leafs kept appearing on the target. This phenomenon has been written about. Most who shoot it find themselves performing above their normal skill level.

Again, I will run on too long if I start discussing the many functions of the squeeze cocker. If you ever have the opportunity to fire one I'd encourage you to do so. The learning curve is very short. Maybe two magazines and you'll be shooting it with skill. It went out of production some years ago. Just too expensive too produce.. The last time I looked, a minty P7 was around 2 thousand.

Thats cool TJ! I shot my 1st groundhog with a Stevens Favorite, in .32RF, which is very similar to a Crackshot.

NICE!.
I have a crackshot that was my dads first rifle. If memory serves, he got it in 1948 for his 7th birthday. He remembers shooting corn spiders off there webs, while on his horse. O how times change. I will try to dig it out soon.

I had a Favorite, the big brother to the Crack Shot, it was also in .22 LR and had a hex-barrel. I traded that one to a Colt 32/20 Police positive and somewhere down the road traded that one for something else but I can't remember what.

I can sure believe that your dad shot spiders off the web, this gun shoots as true as any I've ever had. I've been told that the Crack Shot was a premium for selling Cloverine Salve and that it was a give-away for buying lots of seed. Also told it was used as a "hog gun".

hEY mONK! My lil brother just sold me his LC9 and I'm obssesed with it! Its my first semi of any kind and I love it! Kinda makes me feel like a secret agent
The wife actually supported the idea of having a gun like this in the house so I was more than happy to oblige. I love the way it shoots. My brother had some mods done that I think are fantastic. Most significantly, the trigger modification to take care of the looong pull I heard so much gripe about in the reviews. trigger breaks early and resets just as quick which makes for some nice clean shooting. Just a honey of a pistol imo, ideal for CC.

Also told it was used as a "hog gun".

My granddad's .22 Steven's Favorite, passed down to my dad, passed down to me. Before I was born, it was used for rabbits, squirrels and killin' hogs. I wouldn't know what to do with all the meat this rifle has killed.
