I don't know if I am allowed to ask what people usually pay for an old Schrade. I hope I'm not out of line.

I really like the 340T. I like their larger Stockman also but this one is more common. I actually know 3 "non-knife" type people who have shown me their USA 340T and said that is what they buy. (none of them knew about Schrade being made offshore now, but that is another story)

I just got a 340T with some rust, little pitting, good snap, and a fairly sharpened main blade.
I was wondering what people usually paid for a 340T

in good shape...
in fair shape...
in poor shape...

I am not trying to sell this knife. I would call it between fair and poor being closer to fair. It is gonna be a great user for a while I think. I'm just wondering what is usually paid.

David, lots of other variables to consider. How old (walden), box or tube, etc. etc.
With that said, Id say $30ish for one thats almost new, and going down from there.

Hi David, People around my neck of the woods think that they can (or should) get them for about $5-$10 still in excellent used condition. They look at me like I'm stupid when I ask for $18 and then say but I'll take $15.I'm talking good old carbon USA made with no problems other than patina and having been sharpened a few times and put to use. I thought this guy was going to shoot me when I asked $25 for a minty never sharpened USA 34OT last summer, I mean I ducked down and made a move towards safety. Crazy swap meet where everyone is walking around with guns etc. lol so I don't know how it is where you live. I try to explain to them that the days of getting $5 UH's and OT's in nice condition are over unless someone doesn't know what they are selling followed by I'll buy every one you can get for $10-$12 each in good condition. So far not one Schrade UH or OT has been offered up for me to buy at any price. This might give you a realistic idea of todays market value.

You can get one in new unused condition on Ebay for $25.00 to $30.00 if you are patient.

Well, I look for users so the $50-$100 like new knives are ridiculous to me.

The knife I bought was rusty and black but had little real pitting. It's cleaning up well. It has good snap and the two smaller blades are all there. The main blade is over sharpened, but not unacceptably so. It looked like this one

I just picked one of the bay last week for about $22. It is a pre- "+" marked tang. The blades are full, with no signs of the usual pitting. It was well taken care of. The seller had buffed the whole knife, to the point the sawcut delrin is slick

I bought a couple from the Muskrat Man AAPK store a few months back, both NOS - no boxes, and a little fading on the Delrin on one side of one of the knives - he sold them to me for $20 & $25. I was very pleased to buy two essentially new USA knives at those prices - both are users now. OH
