USPS Insurance Rates

Post by Paladin »

Does anyone have a current rate chart for mailing with the USPS? Or maybe you could guide me to the chart on USPS.com. I just learned that my current rates are out of date.
I have searched all thru the USPS site but cannot locate a chart.

Thanks,
Ray

I found that page, too. I just need a chart to know how to pass along the cost of insurance when a buyer asks for insurance.
I have tried to call the number given for USPS but always busy.

Here is what I did, using the postal rate calculator, I entered an amount to insure a package with values at the traditional price breaks.
Here is the chart I came up with as a result.

USPS INSURANCE RATES – 2013

$0.01 to $50 - $1.95

$50.01 to $100 - $2.45

$100.01 to $200 - $3.05

$200.01 to $300 - $5.10

$300.01 to $5000 - $5.10 plus $1.15 for each $100
or fraction thereof over $300
(Maximum liability is $5000)
