The Red Star??
For all you shoppers and beer drinkers, when did Macy's Department Store and Heineken Beer start using a red star in their logo? I'd never noticed this until just recently. Looks kinda like the Chinese star.

From Wikipedia.
Established in New York City in 1858, from the very beginning, Macy's logo has included a star in one form or another, which comes from a tattoo that Macy got as a teenager when he worked on a Nantucket whaling ship, the Emily Morgan.
Macy's started using the current logo in 2006. To see other Macy's logos, used since 1948, go here -- http://logos.wikia.com/wiki/Macy's
And Heineken? At least since 1948 and maybe before that. (Picture pulled from the Heineken web site.)

Re: The Red Star??
Thanks Jerry. I had never noticed the red star before seeing the latest TV commercials.
