Hello from Eastern Tennessee

Post by Tennessee Dave »

Just saying hello. Found this site when looking for a knife to replace a Case XX Select that I had for ten years. Sadly I lost it recently. I only have a few in my collection but I do enjoy looking at them and I am sure that I will be adding more. I have never owned any knife other than a Case so I am looking forward to learning about other knives that I should consider. I especially like older, classic pieces. Looking forward to learning a lot.

Hi Bob,

I live in Dayton, between Knoxville and Chattanooga. I have a daughter who lives in Jonesboro so I get to your neighborhood quite often. I would love to visit your shop.

Thanks for the welcomes. I can see from perusing the site that this is going to result in another Acquisition Disorder. Today I ordered a Case Prime Stag medium Stockman and a GEC Pattern 57 Cattleman Yellow Rose. Still hoping to find my lost Case XX select which was either a small coke bottle or a gunstock. Didn't know enough to know the difference until I found this forum. It was about 2 1/2to 3 inches when closed and was purchased sometime in early 2000. It was either red stag or red bone made to look like stag. If you happened to come across anything that looks like it I would appreciate you giving me a heads up. I can see this is going to get expensive... but fun. :D
