GHETTO GARAGE -re handle- PREMIER LIFETIME GERMANY

Post by junebug »

okay......well thanx to a couple here at AAPK (glennbad & wiseguy) i was able to do this project in my
ghetto/low budget garage :mrgreen:
i bought this off another member here.....thanx blister!!!! ::tu::
it was in ROUGH shape.........both scales broken....someone used it as a PRY BAR :shock: .......so it had
bent liners......up and down play...side to side wobble....gaps between tang and liners kinda TWISTED look to it???....and a popped loose bolster on one side(the solder failed) ::super_happy:: .........but had THAT LOOK ::nod::
so i did my research.....and went at my 1st re handle job ::ds:: ::ds:: ::ds::

ok here we go start to finish......

I wasn't sure how that corncob would look on the knife, but it looks pretty nice! That's a great job, looks like you're an old pro.

Don't be shy about knocking down those edges on the bone. It'll make for thinner carry in the pocket, and bring some more color out in the bone as well.

Regardless, fantastic job! ::tu::

You don't know how much that sounds like me & my shop! :lol:
When I applied for Social Security Disability, (because my doctor made me) the lady at the SSI office asked me "Please don't being in any more medical documentation!" I said, "but you don't have..." "We have MORE than enough," she said.
My medical file is like a text book for Orthopedic Surgeons. :shock:

But I totally agree, "where there is a will, there is a way," as my momma says!
I have made tools to help me compensate for my physical disabilities. And while I may not be able to work as long as a healthy young man, I can work with more passion, because I really love what I am doing enough to work through the pain!

Really nice job on that, but like Glenn said, don't be afraid to knock down the edges on that bone, it will being out a lot more color!

Glenn, I do believe you are right, Junie is Hooked! :mrgreen:
