The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.
The 1047 looks like it never been sharpened,it has a few spots on the blades but you expect that on carbon blades.I say it been sit in a draw for a few years.I will oil it and put it in my display.

I had never heard Dire Wolf before. The country sound surprised me. I guess I had never listened to much Dead music (If any. Surely I heard it on the radio).

A lot of their stuff has that feel, particurlarly the Working Mans era.
I cut my deck to the Queen of Spades, but the cards were all the same.
I think the bone they used in the last years was some of the beast looking bone you can find on any knife made around the same time.
I have several of the Remington remakes that where made by Camillus and I'm very impressed with all the knives.I'm also working on another "72 Ducks unlimited" off the bay right now.
The last pic is of a Camillus made Rem bullet, just look at the bone on that knife, it is supper nice stuff,as you can see it was the same bone they used on the 72 from around the same time.

Just won this one on ebay. Don't have it in hand yet. WWII Maritime Commission and Merchant Marine Sailor's knife, four-line stamp, 4 1/2" closed. If I remember correctly it has wood handles. Doesn't appear to have been used or sharpened.
