Help me find an very nice Old Timer

Just recently got into knife collecting. I want to find a excellent to mint condition of the knife of my youth, the Old Timer. I have been on this earth for 62 years now and I never owned one but always wanted one. Money was pretty tight when I was growing up and by the time I got my first job girls had begun to be fascinating to me and I spent just about all my money on them. Being born in 1950 I would really like an older one but I guess after waiting this long any good USA made one would be okay with me. Fortunately, money isn't quite as tight anymore so I am willing to pay for the right one. I like that 1080OT and the trappers. In a perfect world it would also have bone or stag handles. Might as well dream big? Anyone out there got something to scratch this itch?

I was born in 1950 and had one Old Timer and lost it.Than I found out Schrade closed down a in 2004 So I decided to collect a few USA made one's.
181 later I have most models of a Old Timers and variations.
If you want bone handle handle 20T its a bit pricey 80T Schrade Walden the early one's had bone handles and the Silver Anniversary 340T.There was a few limited addition just before Schrade Closed

Just some ideas of what to look for.

The Old Timer Classics was a nice set with bone handles. They were sold as individual knives, or as a framed set. Fairly common on eBay, although most listed now are at outrageous prices - usually $50-$80 is the going rate.



Various bone-handled anniversary knives were sold over the years. Some are more common than others. Prices are generally under $100.





Some of the very early Old Timers, like the 2OT posted above and the early 8OT, had bone handles. These are incredibly difficult to find, and quite pricey, if in unused condition.

Most of the latter-day special editions with nice bone handles do have stainless blades, unlike the regular run of Old Timer knives. This may or may not concern you. All tang stamps with a "plus" sign indicate stainless, but the last years of Schrades saw nearly all patterns go to stainless, and they were not all marked with a "plus" sign.
