Schrade Tang Stamp Confirmation
Am I correct? This is '46-'76? The one in the list has the Stainless below the Walden and above the N.Y. U.S.A.

Re: Schrade Tang Stamp Confirmation
Thanks fellas. So '46-'73 it is. The knife is supposed to be here today. I'll get pictures posted as soon as I can. In the meantime, here's one of the sellers pictures.
BTW, anyone have a shackle that would fit this old feller?

Jerry, the tang stamp on the S-W Riggers knife you bought is identical to the one I bought last week - in fact they appear to be twins. OH

Re: Schrade Tang Stamp Confirmation
Oh, lordy, lordy fellas. Please don't tell me that marlin spike locks. I was so hoping the knife is a yachtsman and not a riggers knife. I should have known though, when I saw the mount for the shackle.
Glenn or Colonel -- What's the chances of getting dimensions on yours? I suppose I can make a replacement. It just won't have the "Press Down" stamped on it.
Cal -- Isn't that a Loom Fixer (also called a Half Hawk)?

Jerry, I'll measure it for you tonight (at doctor now, NRA meeting after supper, should be home by 2100). OH

Jerry, The overall length of the look is 1-3/16", interior width at pin is 1/8", interior width at loop end is 3/16", width of flat side is 5/32" for most of the distance, but widens to 5/16" at pinned end.

Jerry, check your knife once you receive it - mine is so worn that you don't have to press down to unlock - it will unlock without the lever. OH

Re: Schrade Tang Stamp Confirmation
Thanks for the measurements Colonel.
The marlin spike on this one doesn't even have a "latch" on it. It's more like the spike on a yachtsman. The tang on the spike also looks bent and it has an 1/8" of play side to side. It's easy to see in the second picture. Blade is good except for a couple of bug bites in the cutting edge.

It is the same pattern as the CASE loom fixer. Here is an interesting read: http://library.uml.edu/clh/OH/MWOL/Cote.pdfjerryd6818 wrote: Cal -- Isn't that a Loom Fixer (also called a Half Hawk)?
