carrying an oppy 12

Post by xstuntman »

Just an FYI...
I really wanted to find a way to carry my 12 in something instead of trapping it in the back pocket with my wallet. Carrying around this lightsaber isn't for the faint of heart but short of a custom sheath what's a fella to do?

I happened to hit the local army/navy store and took a turn through the aftermarket tactical stuff. Voodoo Tactical makes a collapsible black baton holder for the belt and the 12 fit snug like it was made for it. Nine dollars later my Oppy rides in style!
:)

I've got a number 12, and in the winter it's no problem. I just carry it in the outside right pocket of my winter jacket. But in mild weather, I have to resort to a belt pouch sheath I made from nylon web and velcro. I love Opinel's, and the bigger ones have even greater blade geometry for the slicing and dicing.

To cut down on the bulk a bit, I took some sand paper and shaped the beach wood handle to more of a navaja shape.
