Leopard Schrade 175

Post by terdl76 »

Had some leopardwood laying around for awhile and decided to put it to use. Glad I did! Nothing fancy, thin scales and a brushed finish. "Brushed" is my way of saying I'm to lazy to put a "mirror" finish on it.

Very nice no-nonsense look! I think the brushed handles add to the tool-look of the blade and bolsters. Interesting wood, is it called "Leopard wood"?

Yeah, we'll I think it's called leopard wood. Got it from a local exotic lumber store in Frederick MD as a pen turner and that's what the guy told me. I have a bit left so I may try it on a doctors knife.

That looks great. No nonsense user, but very elegant also.

Very nice...the wood just looks right on that knife.
