One for my son

As some of you know, my son just graduated from HS , and is also on his way to college in the fall. His 18th birthday happens to be Sunday, so I thought a few weeks back, it would be nice to make something for him. He likes red, so I picked out some nice ruby red from Culpepper. The knife started life as this Frontier...








I even went the extra effort and had his initials engraved on the shield...




I have a few of these Frontiers, and may do another one sometime...

Their frontier line was a great bunch of knives,and what a great gift to you kid.
Hear is the only one I have but what a knife they are.I'm not sure about all of them but I do know some or most where made by Camillus.

The Frontier line is pretty solid, and makes for some nice projects or users. The one I did was actually a Swinden construction.

This is the second frontier I have done, the first was a lockback.

Camillus made some, Schrade made some and some were of course made by Imperial.
