Yes I do, though this is the first time I've heard of it. I don't know exactly where it is but it's got to be here in Boone County, probably down around Rabbit Hash. I may have to go looking for it.

That's a good website. Urban exploration can be fun, interesting, and quite an ADVENTURE at times...

Hey thanks JW, I know almost exactly where it is now, if it's still there. I'm only about 25-minutes away from that spot. May have to grab my son up and take an excursion to the site.

I'd think the state would step in and fine this guy for leaving that there for so many years--don't think he'd have gotten away with that in Michigan
I think it's still there Murph if you read through the comment's the guy that own's it even made a reply to the orginal blogger about it on March of 2013

Amazing article and pictures. It's interesting that the Navy would rent boats like this for use in the war. Guess that's easier than building one on short notice.

Thanks for sharing this!

Well, my son, his fiance and I went to look for the ship today and found it, it is still there. The only problem was that the creek bank was so over-grown that all we could see was the bow of the ship. We are going to wait until late fall or early winter or whenever the leaves drop and the weeds die down to return to see if we can get a better view of it. What a disappointment ::tear::
