looks like a forest master please help ID it
I bought this knife because I like the master blade and its long pull I was gonna use it for parts for making a simple liner less knife. But I can't find anything just like it on the interweb . Could this be a rebuilt forest master? It looks pretty old

I'm sorry. The knife is definitely a colonial knife the. Tang stamp says so. I am looking for further model info and possible date of mfg. I said branded because all forest masters I've seen have had shields labeling them forest master

cool rhosk!
Unforuntately Colonail di little if anything that would help us dictate the time the knife was made, unlcok Case, Schrade, Imperial and Queen Cutlery who tangs stamps and charts.
Colonial used curved copy early in its infancy....20's ....30's.....and that's about all we know!

Hello gents!!
I just saw this one!!
I would LOVE a close-up of the tang but I can give you my input..
The blades look like Colonial; especially the belt punch and curved blade can opener.
The old Celluloid handle says Colonial also...BUT, the offset assembly pin, the slant cut
bolster's with the line says maybe Imperial..
Don't forget, my grandpa Fred was boss of Imperial's assembly room years ago and we shared many ideas way back when....
