This 48 has been with me for a little while now ;)
She has a very strong open and close and great half stop.

Nice one Gino! ::tu:: I would defiantly carry a 48 single blade. ::nod::
I can relate to the strong open/close, my 55 is the same way, I hope it loosens up a little over time.
I'm not looking forward to getting caught on the tip of the wharnie, the factory made this one razor sharp! ::uc::

I changed EDC's again, but this one is the perfect size for my big hands and its a lock blade which is really important to me, you cant even feel it in your front pocket for it 4 3/8" size. I really dig it

After 5+ weeks of pocket carry and little daily tasks... By far my favorite EDC - the #55 Northfield with single spear point blade

Out of the 2 GEC knives I have I do carry one from time to time and it is a good knife.

I picked this one up a couple of days ago, you just can't beat the price in how much knife you get for the price... ::tu:: ::nod:: it should be here today or tomorrow? Anyways until then I borrowed these pics, had to have a beaver for the EDC. ::groove:: #12 toothpick in jigged Brazilian cherry wood.

Nice 'pick, Ryan. ::tu:: I think you must have scored the last unserialized one out there. 8) Those beaver shields kind of grew on me over time, as I wasn't enamoured with 'em at first. I now think it's of the coolest shields GEC makes. ::tu::

My most favorite of the series is the jigged wenge wood 53 Furtaker Trapper. ::nod:: I'd actually like to see them use more wenge wood. ::nod::

I agree with you on both of those... Last one out there and more wenge wood... I know where there is one of those as well... ::nod:: not that I don't have one of course. ::tounge::
Yeah... The beavertail series is sweet! ::tu::  cool shield and jigged wood. What's not to like! ::shrug:: ::hmm::

Nice Ryan !!! ::tu:: ____ Do you prefer the "" coal black-black ebony"" or the ebony with the brownish streaks running through the grain ??? I don't have a preference for Ebony, but on the Cocobolo,I want ""lots & lots of grainy streaks "" :)

I did some custom work to my #36 in bloodwood today & thought I'd share. ::paranoid::
I buffed/polished the blade front, back & spine, bolsters, end caps, back of the spring.
Also I buffed out the tidioute acid etch on the front side of the blade.
It's been raining here and a lot of cloud cover hopefully you can see the results. ::shrug::
I am pleased with the results... I think I will do this to all my EDCs. Lemme know what ya think? ::hmm:: oh and I polished/buffed the hotdog shield.
