After the boys had been in Maryland for the last 3 weeks I took 'em on a hiking mission, where we had never been. Seems like we hiked for 17 miles but turns out it was only a bout a mile - round trip! ::uc:: My a$$ is still draggin' today....

Great posts all! Glad to see that the younger generation is enjoying the outdoors instead of hours on PlayStation!

Just picked this up for half of retail with 600 miles and 78 hours on the motor. 09' Polaris RZR UTV. Goes 60 mph, not that I am going there. My lab took right to the passenger seat last night. Since dogs are color blind, she sure knows camo patterns and was a proud passenger jumping in and out of the UTV after we stopped, beckoning for more.

The jeep will go almost anywhere with front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnects, 3.5 inch lift, 33 inch tires, yada, yada , yada, but sometimes vehicle width is a concern to fit on the ATV trails and not roll down the 45 degree mountain for 500 or a thousand feet to get to places I want to go to hunt, fish, enjoy and expolre.

Had a blast today on a 20 mile trial ride in the RZR with the wife. Ear to ear smiles the whole time. I see many good times and memories ahead (and hopefully more pics) with this vehicle.

Really love seeing the pics of the outdoor adventures, guns, mentoring and enjoying time with the youngsters and game/fish harvest that all you post. Priceless in my opinion. Love this thread!

Regards, Jerry

Hey dogg,
My thoughts exactly. The wife has plans to venture out quite a bit. Me too of course. Fortunate to live a quater mile from thousands of acres of BLM land. No trailer required but will buy one this week anyway to get to a few places we like though I could find the trails to do so if I wanted. All the US. States are beautiful but to me, Nevada is home. Wife would prefer the coast but she has family here so here we are. So I am good for now...

Regards, Jerry

Thought I would put the trail camera out and see what I could get a picture of. Deer season is right around the corner and bow season opens in early September here in Kentucky. To my surprise I captured the same deer for the past three years has an odd rack. I am really surprised he made through deer season last year, my neighbor said he shot at him last year and missed. I was hoping he would have a little nicer head gear this year but it is interesting just to see him. Jeff

I remember you posting his pic last year. Body wise he now looks like "much of a deer" and that rack has some mighty big bases! Maybe you can get a pic when he sheds the velvet. Again that's a very unique rack and over 3 years shows that they just get bigger even if they are not symmetrical. I wouldn't mind having that rack on the wall :) .
