16" Photography Light Tent Backdrop Kit

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

16" Photography Light Tent Backdrop Kit

Post by jerryd6818 »

Does anyone have one of these. I've had one on my watch list for several months and am giving some serious consideration to finally dropping the hammer on it. I think I recall reading where someone said the lighting needs an upgrade. Comments?

Jerry..the lighting is fine for a 16" box.
When i used a 30" box the lighting was insufficient.

I have one Jerry.

I also hang a dome shop light overhead sometimes. You just have to experiment until you get the light/ angle right.

The lights are plenty strong, I just keep experimenting.

I like it ::tu::

Got one. Be extra careful with the lights, they have a fairly short cord. Though the bulbs are encased, it provides very little protection from drop damage. Overall a nice little set-up Jerry.

I have one, but I rarely use it.
To me it is a pain to set up.

Dimitri, I think I paid $35 for mine from some catalog my wife had.

I usually have to use an extra light overhead sometimes two as it does not seem bright enough to me.

The best price I've been able to find is on eBay for $32 with free shipping. This seller has sold a boat load of them.

Dale -- I've seen several people who have opined the light as problematical. I think there's a simple solution to it. More Light. ::ds::

Is it trailer park engineering? Well probably but then I'm on a trailer park budget.

I have one like that too Jerry as well as several adjustable arm lamps I pick up at garage sales, flea markets, etc.
I use them frequently to add more light at my sander, band saw or other pieces of equipment in my shop.

Jethro nailed it on the lights. I set mine up on the bed to cut back on the bending over. I accidentally pulled a light off onto a carpeted floor and it has never worked well since. I do set up a shop light now and it works a lot better.

Well yeller in the front is way better than the brown in the back for lighting purposes.
