I got a new job!!

Post by TKC »

I went on an interview today, and drove 300 miles!! But it was worth it!! I applied through Monster.com for an armed security position ( http://www.mvminc.com/ ). ( THAT is the company that I am going to be working for.) I got an E-mail from them the week of Christmas, wanting a faxed copy of my Class A LTC, to attach to my resume. New Years Eve, I get a call about setting up an interview for today. I was out to dinner at the time. I called him back and said that I was most interested in interviewing. They called me back yesterday to set up the interview for today. This company does security for the Federal Gov't/ Homeland Security. I wll have a starting salary of $18.90 an hour!! I start my 3 week (I believe it is 3 weeks.) They issue firearms; .38 revolvers. They said the Feds. mandate this weapon. I am cool with that!! I LOVE wheel guns! Our first part of the training is firearm training. We are getting trained by a retired State Police Officer. Then there is classroom stuff. And THEN we take a gov't test. Now, I wait for my packet to arrive, and fill out what I need to fill out and get notarized what I need to get notarized. I am REALLY excited about this!! I soooooooo wanted this job!! Oh, and it is a UNION security job. I am so stoked!! This is EXACTLY what I wanted!! Happy B-day to me!! (it is the 12th by the way.)

THANKS!! Once the training and the testing is over, and I get on a regular schedule, I will be back like I normally am.

As you may or may not know, I had training all(Tues-Fri. we only shot 3 days.) this week. This week was Firearms training, and we had to pass the F.L.E.T.C (Federal Law Enforcement Training Course) semi combat handgun course. This am, in practice, I passed it, but when it was the real testing, I did not. I am SOL. No more job! I just thought I would let you guys know. I am disappointend in myself. I am trusting in God, that HE has other plans for me. One door closes, and another one opens. I have a lot of faith and trust in God.

Never a door closes, that a window is not opened. At least you took the chance. Something is out there, and you will be lead to it.
