What I have realized and changed so far is:
- The two stop pin set up has been modified to only one. This involved making the tang a little longer, which I think will improve the profile of the knife in the closed position too.
- I made a slight adjustment to the ball detent position (subtle, I know but that's what working models are for)
- While the 3" blade is a lovely EDC pocket knife, for myself for general purpose work around the farm and hunting, I'd prefer something a little longer - so I will be building one as and when time allows - around a 3.5" blade
On the plus side, it is a very handy pocket size, the design works well and is very comfortable in hand - there is one in hand pic - to give an indication my hands run XL to XXL in glove size. Specs - 3.25mm N690Co Stainless Steel blade, Ti liners and lock, Olive Green Micarta, profiled, stainless pins and pivot - the thumbstud is just a quick job from brass - but it works well enough. Blade runs smooth as silk on .005 bronze washers.....
The pics tell the rest of the story:
