Hi philco, the 8OT is an old Schrade Walden with Saw-cut bone handles.
I have been looking for one for many years, I have been told it is an early 1960's Old Timer; one of the first 8OTs.

Today's flea landed me a anvil Idaho Buck ::ds:: I believe in a 501 she isn't marked ::shrug:: but none the less mint with papers.

Scored this Boker 6006 today.......can someone tell me how old it is and if it looks right.
Some tarnish and rust but the bone looks pretty nice, no shield and grooved bolsters.
....also got this Miller Bros @ 3 3/8" closed......same questions on it.

New 209R wharnie lockback, rosewood, 3 5/8" closed.
3 1/4" lockback, sold as second, marked USA/KeenKutter/2006
2 7/8" one blade peanut, 4th generation carbon steel, bone. Also a second.

Found this Gerber Silver Knight at the local Pawn Shop today. Made in Sakai Japan.....hard to capture how nice the Black Lip Pearl is, the dark corner on the pile side is not a patch, just a dark area in the pearl. Does not look to have ever been sharpened and for ten I couldn't pass it up.

To get that knife for $10 in such great condition is outrageously fortunate. Surely you did something extra kind to someone this year. In any event you somehow developed some great karma. Congrats!

Thanks guys, was happy to find one there on this visit.....they mostly have junk knives.
QS - would like to think it was Karma.....but it's really just a lack of knowledge on their part when they price them. It was marked $12.95 but there was 20% off storewide this week, didn't even haggle on it. They have other knives that aren't worth $5 marked $39.95... ::shrug::
