Toolin' around HomeDepot w/the wife last night, she was looking for marked-down christmas stuff.
Anywho, they had the Leatherman Sidekick/Croc set marked down from $29.88 to just $19!

14 tools on the Sidekick, seems a little less 'refined' than most of LM's products. The knife blade is plenty sharp out of the package.
Croc is too big for keychain duty, imo. Meh

For 19 bucks, I'll give it a try....

That's what I thought Brian....til I searched the bay and turned up nah-dah! Then I asked the AAPK VIC expert - junebug....and was informed the knife is an ALOX, bakers knife!

Nice pick-ups TripleF and rarreola!

I came across these two knives for sale online. The top one is marked O.D. Gray & Co Germany. Handles look to be faux ivory. The seller said he couldn't make out the tang stamp on the second knife, but based on what I could see I think it may be an A. Burkinshaw knife which would date it no later than 1881. The scales look like bone to me. The price wasn't high, so I decided to gamble on the second knife being a Burkinshaw and bought them. Hopefully the knife gods will smile down on me and it'll be what I think it is.

I'm 99.9% sure the O.D. Gray is faux ivory. You can see the lines and also some shrinkage near the bolsters if you magnify the picture. The other knife the seller said had stag or bone scales. It's definitely not stag. It crossed my mind that it could be ivory, but from the pictures I can't conclusively tell if it has a grain or not. I'm leaning towards bone (mainly so I don't get my hopes up

), but until I have it in hand it'll be supposition.

Definitely a Burkinshaw, with Ivory handles.

The German knife has Cell. handles.
