Schrade "Spitfire"-the mighty midget

I wasn't aware that the Schrade Spitfire was actually made, but one popped its head up on ebay a while back, and i just had to have it. They are the sweetest little knife, and are OH so sharp with the AST-34 steel blade.
They were quite expensive according to Dale's list, at $115, but they are constructed from the best of everything. I am privilege to own this beautiful little sucker.
The feature that i really like is the Lanyard release mechanism...how cool is that, pushing the closed blade down to release the Lanyard.

Newer knives aren't my thing but I do like that knife. Very cool!

To add more pics to the same post you have to add them one at a time, select choose file, add the file and then repeat the process one pic at a time for up to 10 pics on the same post. After your first pic the choose file option is still there below your text. All the pics you post are listed below that along with the option to delete if wanted. Hope this helps.

Cool knife. Never even heard of it before. I guess it dates to pre closing shop for Schrade?

Cutty...........according to Dale's list, they came out in 2003.

It is very small at 3 1/8" closed, with a 2" blade. Personally i like a knife i can get all 4 fingers on, not 2 1/2. For tight inside work, i would be looking at a 156ot.

I have a bunch of those blades,the heat treater was stuck with a load of blades from Schrade when they shut down(I understand they may have been scrapped)The driver for the heat treater dropped off an assortment one day.

Did you get the sheath with it? I have the sheath with mine but I don't think it has the Schrade name on it. I will have to find it and check.

I like several of the Schrade triangular blades. I have a 4X4 that I EDCed for a while and I really liked it. It was a good knife and a decent pattern.

I don’t think they ever made the Black Ice. I would love to get my hands on one of them.
It is a cool looking knife!

No Dale, no sheath. I was too excited to see one for sale, to worry about the sheath.

I will try to follow these pic attaching tips when i put some new ones on.

I have had my eye out for "Black Ice", but to no avail so far. As you say, they probably didn't make one. It was getting close to the finish line.
