First knife

Post by JAMESC41001 »

This is the first knife I made. Took awhile to do. Blade is 3/16 1095hc steel. Koa wood scales with walrus oosik pommel. Brass guard and loveless bolts. Working on one now. Been waiting about three weeks already for my evenheat oven to show up ::undecided::

Good work with very nice contours. Looking forward to seeing more.

Thanx for the encouraging words Wayne ! Look forward to posting the next knife. Working on a hunter pattern. Got it pre assembled, now just need to strip it down and heat treat.

Looks good! I like the contrast between the Koa and the pommel. Looks like it would be comfortable in the hand.
