SCHRADE had some of their knives made in China before 2004.

Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

Dose anyone have a knife made in China, by Schrade; before they closed down in 2004.
I have some of them! Schrade was having these knives made in Ierland, before using a supplyer in China.
My 100th Anniversary Badger, was also made for Schrade; in China.
I would like to know, how many of the Anniversary Badgers were sent out for samples... Ken

Five of the knives in the Display were made in Ireland. ::hmm::
SX4, AP35, AP55, TM1, TM2 and the TM7.

Yes, I have an Imperial Apex from 2004. It's made in China and the packaging has the Ellenville, NY address.

The Tradesman scissors were also made in China.
