unknown swords

unknown swords

A friend of mine found these two swords in a old house he bought... I have no idea what they are but hoping someone would have a idea?

Don't know how authenic they are but the top one is a Cavalry sword and the bottom is Japanese (Samari ??)

I knew what the Japanese sword was didnt know about the other... any idea on age?
