Wayne knives, post pics of yours

Post by Lawrence »

Good day folks. Goins has a reference to Wayne Stainless...1921-1940. I picked these us a few years ago. Wayne doesn't sound very Japanese to me, and I was wondering if there was an American pre-war connection. Does anyone has any info. on these? Not much info. on the internet, and the searches get swallowed up by all of the John Wayne knives. Post pics of yours if you have any. cheers

That's some nice looking bone for a Japanese knife. The match striker nail nicks are cool too ::tu:: Sabre brand came close to these.

My Wayne No. 8 is in perfect condition, inherited from old family member. One side of large blade stamped "Wayne stainless", other side No. 8". Small blade stamped "Japan". 6 yrs after original post so won't be surprised if no response.

Great looking piece of cutlery you have there.

At least you looked at the date of the OP. 👍
I've seen people ask a question of folks who haven't been seen in years!
